JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Retail Area Manager to lead and grow our retail presence across Hong Kong and Macau. This role is pivotal in driving sales growth, building and developing a high-performing retail team, optimizing store operations, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences in our women’s contemporary apparel brand. The successful candidate will uphold brand standards, maximize profitability, and foster a motivated retail workforce aligned with our company’s vision and values.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Sales & Business Performance
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet revenue, KPIs, and market share goals for stores in Hong Kong and Macau.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Monitor and control store budgets and expenses to ensure profitability.
- Drive promotional campaigns and maintain visual merchandising standards to increase foot traffic and conversion rates.
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and mentor Store Managers, Supervisors, and retail staff to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve performance targets.
- Conduct regular store visits to provide coaching, performance feedback, and evaluations.
- Cultivate a culture of accountability, teamwork, entrepreneurial spirit, and continuous improvement.
- Manage employee relations and ensure compliance with labor laws in both Hong Kong and Macau.
Retail Operations Excellence
- Ensure all stores comply with brand guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational standards.
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, merchandising feedback, and loss prevention initiatives.
- Maintain optimal staffing and scheduling to meet customer demand efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, HR, and Logistics to align retail operations with broader company strategies.
Customer Experience and CRM
- Analyze CRM data and work closely with Store Leaders to develop customer engagement strategies.
- Maintain high service standards to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Handle escalated customer complaints, ensuring consistent and positive brand representation.
Market Expansion & Stakeholder Management
- Support activities related to new store openings, renovations, or closures as required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, local authorities, and vendors in Hong Kong and Macau.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Operations Management, preferably in Retail industry
- Strong leadership and team development skills with a track record of managing multi-store operations
- Strong analytical skills and training frontline staff experience is preferable
- Proficient in PC software of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Self-motivated, well-organized and good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
