About the Company - Our Client is a leading medical insurance provider based out of Riyadh, KSA.

About the Role - The Progress Programmer is responsible for developing and enhancing business critical - insurance applications using Progress OpenEdge (Progress 4GL / ABL).

Responsibilities -

• Design and develop new forms, modules, and components within internal systems based on business needs.
• Create and integrate new APIs for both internal and external applications (e.g., provider systems, policy portals)
• Maintain and improve existing applications built on Progress OpenEdge, ensuring stability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production environments to support uninterrupted business operations.
• Implement enhancements to modules to meet updated business requirements and user feedback.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and system users to validate requirements and ensure functional alignment.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices to ensure maintainable and high-quality code.
• Document new and modified programs and maintain technical documentation for audit and support purposes.

Qualifications - Bachelors Degree in IT, IS or Computer Science or related field.

Required Skills

• Minimum 2 years of development experience with Progress OpenEdge (4GL/ABL)
• Experience with API development (SOAP/REST)
• Familiarity with insurance industry systems or workflows is preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in cross-functional teams
