About EMESRT: The Earth Moving Equipment Safety Round Table (EMESRT) is a global ‘safety by design’ initiative established by mining companies to fill the functional performance expectations gap between earth moving equipment users and equipment designers.


Formalised in 2006, EMESRT is a global initiative involving major mining companies and remains the ‘common voice’ of the mining industry. EMESRT engages with key mining industry Original Equipment Manufacturers to advance the design of equipment and processes to improve safe operability and maintainability beyond Standards. Position overview: EMESRT is seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to provide secretariat and program management support services to EMESRT. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of EMESRT initiatives, managing projects, supporting project leads, managing budgets, maintaining the website and LinkedIn, and managing global stakeholders.


Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of EMESRT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
  • Develop and manage the budget for EMESRT activities, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively.
  • Assist project leads in the coordination and management of their respective projects, providing guidance, developing presentation materials, and other support as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to EMESRT, including scheduling workshops, webinars, meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes/notes.
  • Regularly update and maintain the EMESRT website to ensure it is current and informative.
  • Write and post content on LinkedIn to promote EMESRT activities and engage with stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with global stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 account, particularly OneDrive for efficient and effective record-keeping purposes.


Ideal candidate profile:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing programs or projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise, prioritise, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse, global stakeholders.
  • Advanced skills in using Microsoft 365 apps, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
  • Experience in using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Advanced skills in website maintenance and social media management, particularly LinkedIn.
  • Experience in monitoring budgets, processing invoices, and managing financial aspects such as membership renewals and trademark renewals.
  • Proven ability to manage industry events from planning to execution.
