Our client is a global leader in innovative fire suppression solutions, dedicated to protecting lives and assets across industries. As they expand their presence in the APAC region, we seek a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth and strategic partnerships.
Position Overview:
This role will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth across APAC (with a focus on China, Southeast Asia, and key industrial markets). This role requires a hunter mentality, strong market penetration skills, and the ability to develop long-term business relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Expansion: Develop and execute a Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy to capture new business in industrial, manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure sectors.
- Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue new clients, distributors, OEMs, and system integrators through networking, trade shows, and digital channels.
- Strategic Partnerships: Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, government bodies, and industry associations to enhance market penetration.
- Sales Growth: Drive revenue by closing deals, negotiating contracts, and exceeding sales targets in the assigned territory.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to refine sales strategies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, engineering, and product teams to align business development with customer needs.
- Performance Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales pipelines, market insights, and revenue forecasts to senior management.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years in B2B business development/sales, preferably in fire safety, industrial equipment, or technical solutions.
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets in APAC (China experience is a strong plus).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills (fluency in English and Mandarin is essential).
- Ability to travel frequently (up to 50%) within APAC.
- Self-motivated, strategic thinker with a hunter mentality.
Preferred:
- Experience in fire suppression, safety systems, or highly regulated industries.
- Knowledge of local regulations (GB standards, NFPA, etc.) in APAC markets.
- Existing network in industrial, oil & gas, data centers, or manufacturing sectors.
Location: Preferably based in Shanghai, China, close to our HQ, but candidates in Beijing are encouraged to apply as well.
