Summary

Job Title: Sales Representative India (Direct & Partner Sales)

Location: India (Remote/Home Office, with travel as required)

Reports to: Head of Partner Sales

Employment Type: Full-time

About The Role

We are looking for a proactive and driven Sales Representative to lead and grow our presence in India, managing both direct sales opportunities and channel (partner) sales relationships. This is a hybrid role requiring a blend of strategic relationship-building and hands-on selling.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Developing new business, maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and partners, and driving sales growth across India.
  • Order handling, customer support, and logistics will be managed by our Hong Kong office or local partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities within key verticals (e.g., automotive, industrial automation, embedded systems).
  • Partner Management: Build and manage relationships with distributors, resellers, and system integrators. Support partners with training, sales enablement, and co-marketing activities.
  • Direct Sales: Handle direct customer accounts where needed. Develop proposals, conduct product demos, and close deals.
  • Market Strategy: Help define and execute the go-to-market strategy for India, in alignment with our global partner strategy.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Maintain regular contact with key accounts and partners to build loyalty and uncover additional needs.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Monitor sales pipeline, provide regular updates, and contribute to quarterly forecasts.
  • Travel: Visit customers and partners across India. Occasionally travel internationally for meetings, trainings, or events.

Who You Are

  • You have experience in technical sales or partner/channel sales, ideally within the embedded systems, electronics, or automotive industry.
  • You're a relationship-builder with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • You're structured, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
  • You understand how to balance short-term wins with long-term relationship building.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or channel management.
  • Background in electronics, embedded systems, or a related technical domain is a plus.
  • Strong English communication skills (spoken and written).
  • Based in India, ideally with access to a major metro area for ease of travel.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally abroad.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with B2B customers in the automotive or industrial sectors.
  • Familiarity with CAN, LIN, or similar communication protocols is an advantage.
  • Previous experience managing a partner/reseller network.
