A leading global consultancy is seeking a Technical Consulting Engineer with a strong foundation in automotive software development for a 6-month, onsite engagement in Tokyo. This project involves redesigning and enhancing the software development toolchain architecture within a major automotive context.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the current state of software development toolchain frameworks.
• Architect a new toolchain framework aligned with redesigned development processes.
• Identify and recommend the most suitable tools for each function within the toolchain.
• Oversee external vendors to execute proof-of-concept (PoC) implementations.
• Lead PoC delivery, identify bottlenecks, and coordinate enhancements.
• Provide technical support and vendor guidance as required for implementation.

Ideal Background:

• Proven engineering experience with a deep understanding of automotive technologies.
• Familiarity with in-vehicle infotainment systems.
• Working knowledge of Automotive Android and QNX operating systems.
• Experience with HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) development.
• Expertise in designing CI/CD toolchain architectures.
• Exposure to Generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
• Ability to generate code, automated test scripts, reports, and perform code reviews.
• Japanese language proficiency is a plus but not mandatory.
