The LEGO Brand Retail Certified Store (LCS) which has been a key strategic growth driver for China for the past few years driving both brand awareness and commercial results. While our play experience always linked to physical, LCS will continue to be the brand hub as the core for LEGO China future developments offering distinctive LEGO learning-through-play experiences to Chinese families and kids!
Core Responsibilities
Manage existing store quality to sustain LCS business growth
- Conduct regular assessments of existing LCS stores (e.g., location, size, condition, sales, etc.)
- Evaluate store segmentation for potential upgrade or downgrade
- Steer and manage partners’ store contract renewal and renovation execution
- Explore store rehabilitation solution to ensure store sustainability
- Based on market situation to formulate each partner by city store portfolio (New + closure) plan and implementation
Steer and manage annual store scale management by partner
- Define and mobilize LCS partners’ 1~3 years of store development plan(New store + store closure)
- Manage and steer LCS partners’ store development strategies and ensure consistency with required LEGO brand positioning, expansion principle and strategic considerations
- Investigate and identify new/future LCS business opportunities in the region/city to ensure sustained LCS business growth (e.g., market entering strategy, store opening priorities, location choices)
- Evaluate new store/Renovation location and case to ensure commercial sustainability of every store
- Support and educate LCS partner on BD related capabilities and landlord resources
- Govern LEGO LCS brand positioning, segmentation and location criteria to ensure consistent quality expansion
Prepare regular business development reporting and manage store development process
- Manage partners' store development and opening/closure process including city mapping, pooling, filtering
- Drive process standardization and approach efficiency to support LCS expansion in scale
- Manage through store approval process and resolve challenges, conflicts or issues related to different partners
Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor or above degree is preferred
- 8+ year experience in retail store expansion BD, experience in both directly operated would be preferred and partnership/franchise model is a plus.
- Experience in leading international retail brands (apparel or cosmetics is preferred)
- Solid understanding of China retail landscape with knowledge in key landlords, retail expansion and operation model
- Experience in Key Account Management is a must
- Strong business sense with logical and fact-based thinking,
- Strong communication skills with proficient in English and Mandarin both writing and speaking
- Great teammate with can-do and collaborative demeanor to drive quality outputs
