Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI), headquartered in Bengaluru, India, was founded in 1996 as a captive unit to support Mercedes-Benz groups Research & Development and IT. We started with a focus on topics ranging from CAD, CAE and IT programming for all of the group’s business units. Meanwhile, we have moved up in value to cater to advanced topics in vehicle engineering and IT technologies. We are now responsible for new methods in Design and CAE, software content for control units, head units and various critical engineering tools. The satellite office in Pune specializes in interior & exterior component design, wiring harness, IT for Sales. The establishment of MBRDI is in line with the Mercedes - Benz group’s ambition to attract the world’s best engineering talent and form a global footprint for its R&D and IT competencies. MBRDI also aims to partner closely with suppliers in India for its activities in product development and IT services. We are now one of the largest developments centers outside of Germany, employing over 8000 skilled engineers aside from being an integral part of all business units and brands of Mercedes-Benz worldwide.


Job Description

  • Lead the Plant modeling
  • Lead plant modelling for HiL and SiL
  • Ensure the SiL to HiL model interoperability
  • System SiL development
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Responsible for People management & career development of the team
  • Act as a first point of escalation for all project & business related queries
  • As a part of leadership team, ensure alignment & implement project strategy in line with organization strategy
  • Lead cross functional activities & collaborate with leadership team as needed
  • Flexible to travel globally based on business need to participate in various supplier discussions, technical and management discussions
  • Areas of Work: Embedded Software development and testing, Powertrain Electrical & Electronics Component Development (software & hardware)


Specific Required Knowledge: (Skill / Languages etc.)

  • Extensive experience in automotive electronics/electrical Powertrain software in loop (SiL) modeling and HiL plant modeling in an OEM or Tier-1/2 environment
  • Powertrain expertise in Powertrain and edrive ECU and Network plant modeling, integration, in Matlab/ Simulink , and Silver.
  • Commissioning of plant modeling in dSPACE and Vector HiL systems
  • Good understanding of functionality of S/W development and validation
  • Project Management & strong communication skills to handle senior management presentations
  • Team leadership


Experience: 14-18 yrs

Education: Bachelors or Masters of Engineering in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics stream
