Senior Solutions Architect (AWS, Cloud-Native Platforms & Data Solutions)

We’re seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to drive the design, development, and delivery of cloud-native platforms and advanced data solutions on AWS. In this role, you’ll transform business and user needs into secure, scalable, event-driven architectures, mentor engineering teams, and champion modern engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, architect, and document end-to-end AWS solutions, leveraging services like EC2/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, S3, Glue, Redshift, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, Kinesis, and EventBridge.
• Build and optimize event-driven and streaming data pipelines capable of managing large-scale, high-throughput data volumes (terabytes daily).
• Develop reference implementations and automation scripts in Python, and contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Partner with product managers, UX designers, and client stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with user experience goals.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship through code reviews, design sessions, and knowledge sharing activities.
• Advocate for cost efficiency, security, scalability, and observability across all solutions.
• Support business development efforts by scoping new opportunities, producing high-level architectural designs, and contributing to effort estimations.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting and delivering production systems on AWS.
• Strong expertise in AWS core services and architectural principles, including the Well-Architected Framework.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and working with a wide range of data structures.
• Proven experience with large-scale data movement, ETL pipelines, and real-time streaming technologies (Kinesis, Kafka, Spark, etc.).
• Deep understanding of event-driven and microservices architectures, including asynchronous messaging patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (or equivalent certification).
• Experience collaborating closely with UX teams or familiarity with usability and user-centered design principles.
• Background in designing data lake, lakehouse, or analytics platform architectures.
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, FedRAMP, HIPAA).
• Previous experience working in consulting or other client-facing roles.
