Scope of Work
Installing, configuring, and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers across development, testing, and production environments
Performing system upgrades, patch management, and security hardening to ensure compliance with industry standards
Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency
Implementing automation scripts using Ansible, Bash, or Python to streamline system administration tasks
Configuring and maintaining Red Hat Satellite, Identity Management (IdM), and other Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) ecosystem tools
Collaborating with security teams to ensure systems are protected against vulnerabilities and comply with security policies
Maintaining and optimizing storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
Supporting application teams by providing guidance on best practices for Linux-based deployments
Maintaining documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Participating in on-call support and incident resolution activities as required
Setup Network File Server (NFS) and mount points
Configuring Chron jobs for both systems and applications
Education
Bachelor’s degree, or postgraduate degree, in engineering, computer science, or related field
Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator. Certification must be issued by Red Hat and include the resource’s valid certification number
Experience
Working in a complex networked system environment with strong networking
Administering Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems
Administering systems including, but not limited to, the applications below:
Oracle WebLogic Servers
Oracle Database Servers
Progress 4GL/Database Servers/OpenEdge
Apache Web Servers
vSphere hosted RHEL Servers
Rubrik backup systems
Oracle Database backups

Load balancing, partitioning, back-up/recovery, and disaster recovery

Assisting with troubleshooting computer systems and related software
Learning about and providing technical assistance and routine maintenance of specialized software applications.
Providing support for other IT related hardware devices such as networked printers, smartphones, etc.
Performing advanced troubleshooting to determine cause of problems.
Installing, configuring, and providing support for Service Desk tickets, as assigned.
Providing or coordinating Audio Visual (AV) and Video Conferencing (VC) support as needed. Assists with reserving, setting up, and troubleshooting of AV and VC equipment.
