Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Red Hat Linux Administrator to join a dynamic team supporting enterprise-level environments. This is a high-impact consulting opportunity for a seasoned IT professional with deep expertise in Linux system administration, automation, and enterprise application support.

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Senior Red Hat Linux Administrator Consultant. The consultant will be responsible for daily Linux system administration tasks, including troubleshooting, patch management, and providing technical support. This is a hybrid role, located in Annapolis, MD, with the option for some work-from-home flexibility.

Ideal Candidate

• Highly skilled in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
• Strong automation and scripting expertise (e.g., Shell, Python, Ansible).
• Security-focused with a proven track record in system hardening and compliance.
• Ability to thrive in a mission-critical enterprise environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Linux System Administration and System Administration skills
• Strong Troubleshooting and Technical Support capabilities
• Experience with Patch Management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree (Engineering, Computer Science, or related field)
• Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) – certification number required
• 10+ years of Red Hat system administration experience
• 10+ years of Unix (AIX) IBM Series administration
• 15+ years in the Information Technology (IT) field
