What is the role about?

The Senior Expert IT Security Architecture is accountable for the security architecture with adequate knowledge of software, hardware and cloud technology, knowledge and abilities in designing software tools and programming languages in order to deliver effective and efficient IT Infrastructure services towards Borealis, including the creation of domain architectural roadmaps, designing of architectures, plans for testing, plans for implementation and modification of the IT systems containing software as a main component.

Responsibilities:

• Defines future roadmap for IT landscape, processes and application architecture in collaboration with relevant stakeholders (e. g. CIO office, internal IT departments, security and architecture, and compliance) and interfaces (incl. definition of requirements).
• Owns application architecture following the internal IT guidelines (esp. security, enterprise architecture).
• Controls and monitors software development as well as release cycles in collaboration with service and project managers. Drives and/or provides input and contributes to change management.
• Provides technical and architectural guidance in projects, supports solution design and ensures compliance of systems.
• Monitors strategic direction of vendors, market trends, and determines their impact and value to the enterprise. Functionally coordinates external suppliers, works on detailed level (e. g. requirement specifications, design implementation proposals).
• Ensures governance, controls and best practices to ensure secure, highly usable and stable services for hosted applications as well as end users in the Corporate IT network.
• Develops strategy for assigned parts of the IT landscape and aligns with other stakeholders.
• Analyzes and documents business client’s problems and needs and develops adequate consulting approach / problem solving approach.
• Develops solution strategy with the client and designs best-fit solution which must meet technical, financial and strategic requirements. Assures acceptance with main stakeholders and appropriate decision process with the management.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree: IT&C
• > 9 years experience in IT Security and Architecture area
• Has excellent understanding of the business context, all interfaces and interdependencies and manages complex workflows with other disciplines. Has knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of systems, peripheral devices, and the most sophisticated information technologies.
• ITIL Service Management certification
• Excellent knowledge of business specific IT&C areas: security technologies; Agile Methodology;Project Mgmt Metodology; networking, compute, security, platforms, integration.
• Advanced knowledge of DevOps practices and automation with focus on Microsoft Azure DevOps.
• Excellent knowledge in ITIL and IT security
• Deep understanding of infrastructure service technologies, also including cloud and on-prem collaboration solutions
• English – advanced level written and verbal
