What we’re looking for

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Security Architect to lead and oversee the cybersecurity architecture across our telecom operator's complex IT infrastructure environment. The role requires expertise in both on-premises and cloud security architectures, with a focus on regulatory compliance and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Security Architecture & Design

• Oversee the overall Security architecture for the IT Infrastructure perimeter.
• Work in close collaboration with the Cybersecurity Operations team: oversee SOC architecture and flows.
• Collaborate with all IT teams and perform a detailed assessment of IT infrastructure security posture.
• Analyze identified threats and vulnerabilities to understand the security risk exposure.
• Create an IT security risk map having as input IT and underlying network security posture results, regulatory and audit requirements.
• Propose detailed action plan to strength IT infrastructure based on security gaps identified.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions in line with identified needs.
• In close collaboration with IT and Network teams, adapt identified solutions to IT infrastructure specificities.
• Follow, together with IT teams the action plan implementation and security risk posture evolution.
• Review and approve security designs for new infrastructure initiatives.
• Ensure security-by-design principles are followed across all infrastructure domains.
• Provide security guidance for IT Infrastructure (Cloud and on-prem, storage and back-up, database platforms, virtualization, IT platforms, etc…)

Compliance & Regulations

• Keep updated with the latest security trends, threats, technologies, and compliance requirements
• Key contributor for different audit standards requirements implementation
• Contribute to keep updated of security compliance documentation.
• Guide teams in implementing regulatory controls.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with IT DEV and IT infrastructure teams to implement security controls
• Mentor team members on security best practices
• Coordinate with external auditors and security assessors

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
• 6+ years of IT infrastructure and security experience
• Relevant security certifications would be a plus

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of different IT Infrastructure components: Cloud, Container and Kubernetes, Network, Identity and access management, Security monitoring and incident response, Backup and DR, Database, Virtualization.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Project management experience
• Leadership capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• IT and Telecom industry experience.
• Experience with security industry standards.
• Any security certification would be a plus.
