Salary: Up to $130,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits


About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help shape and scale the data infrastructure behind our business intelligence and reporting systems. This is a high-impact role based in Tempe, AZ, with a hybrid work model and schedule flexibility, offering the opportunity to lead enterprise-level data projects, mentor teams, and deliver insights that drive company-wide decisions.

You’ll be the go-to expert for building robust data pipelines, managing Power BI environments, and ensuring high data quality and governance. If you’re passionate about turning raw data into strategic insights and enjoy collaborating across departments, we’d love to hear from you.


What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and SQL
  • Develop and manage data warehouses to support reporting and analytics
  • Administer and optimize Power BI environments, including datasets, DAX, and tenant performance
  • Create and maintain data documentation including models, schemas, and metadata tracking
  • Partner with business stakeholders, BI teams, and developers to understand data needs and enable self-service analytics
  • Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance standards are enforced across all platforms
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and business intelligence


What You Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or analytics roles
  • Strong experience with Databricks, Spark SQL, and advanced SQL (TSQL)
  • Proven experience managing and developing Power BI datasets, reports, and tenant settings
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency in Python or Scala is a plus
  • Experience with data governance, privacy, and compliance best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience


Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with RedGate, XML, SSIS, Azure LogicApps
  • Background working in mid-sized, fast-paced environments
  • Familiarity with metadata management tools or custom-built repositories
