Your Mission – Shape Tomorrow’s Pharma Solutions

As the Business Developer Life, you’ll take the lead in expanding Yokogawa’s footprint in the pharmaceutical sector across the Netherlands and Belgium. Your work will combine strategic insight, technical depth, and relationship leadership — helping pharmaceutical companies navigate compliance, digitalization, and data integrity while supporting their long-term growth.


You will:

  • Develop and execute business strategies that grow our presence in NL/BE pharma markets
  • Actively engage with customers to understand their evolving needs — and respond to RFIs, RFPs and RFQs with tailored, timely proposals
  • Collaborate with local sales teams and global solution experts to co-create scalable solutions
  • Build long-term customer relationships and serve as their strategic partner and escalation point
  • Represent Yokogawa at industry events, roundtables, and executive briefings — becoming a trusted voice in the pharma community
  • Identify solutions that align with pharma quality and compliance standards (GMP, GAMP, FDA/EMA)
  • Translate market insights into actionable feedback for sales, R&D, and business development


Who You Are – Strategic, Connected, Committed

You know the pharmaceutical industry inside-out, not only from the technology side, but also from its business and regulatory rhythm. You’re confident in the boardroom, experienced in the lab or cleanroom, and always looking for where innovation meets impact.

You bring:

  • A postgraduate degree in Engineering or a related scientific field
  • A strong sales mindset, we are looking for a hunter with proven track record
  • 5+ years of industrial experience, with at least 5 years in the pharmaceutical sector
  • 3+ years working with DCS, MES, QMS and/or LIMS systems
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical lab environments and data-driven process optimization
  • Strong business acumen, presentation skills, and stakeholder management
  • The ability to define KPIs, build growth models, and translate technical needs into commercial strategies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English (Dutch or French is a plus)
