Your New Role

As an SAP Transportation Management (TM) Specialist, you will play a crucial role in configuring and optimizing the SAP TM module to meet our business requirements. You will be responsible for transportation planning, freight order management, carrier selection, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Your expertise will help streamline our transportation operations and enhance overall efficiency.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Knowledge of SAP TM Configuration: Ability to configure the SAP TM module for order management, planning, freight settlement, and charge calculation.
• Transportation Planning and Scheduling: Skills in planning and optimizing routes, schedules, and resource utilization.
• Freight Order Management: Proficiency in managing freight orders, bookings, and units within SAP TM.
• Carrier Selection and Management: Experience in selecting and managing carriers, negotiating contracts, and monitoring performance.
• Freight Costing and Settlement: Understanding of costing, invoicing, and settlement processes.
• Integration with SAP Modules: Experience with integrating SAP TM with SAP ERP and SAP EWM.
• Transportation Network Design: Knowledge of designing and maintaining transportation networks.
• Transportation Charge Management: Expertise in calculating transportation charges based on various factors.
• Compliance and Reporting: Familiarity with legal compliance and reporting requirements.
• SAP TM Master Data Management: Proficiency in managing master data elements.
• EDI and Communication Technologies: Understanding of EDI and other communication technologies.
• Project Management: Skills in managing SAP TM implementation projects.
• Custom Development: Knowledge of custom development using ABAP or other programming languages.
• Transportation Analytics: Skills in using analytics tools within SAP TM.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Ability to collaborate with logistics service providers, customers, and internal teams.
