Within the Major Projects Department at Pomerleau, the SAP FI/CO Functional Analyst will have the opportunity to join our team dedicated to integrated management systems. The selected candidate will work in collaboration with both technical and business teams to participate in the evolution and maintenance of the S/4HANA platform. The SAP FI/CO Functional Analyst is responsible for project execution, from design to implementation of SAP solutions that underpin business processes related to Finance and Budget Control. The position bridges the gap between integrated management systems and business teams. The analyst specializes in analyzing business processes to convert them into IT solutions by modeling these processes. From this modeling, the analyst will develop and configure, in collaboration with the functional team and developers, an IT solution that meets business needs. Once the solution is implemented, they ensure it meets business sector requirements and supports operations.

What You Will Do

  • Leads workshops related to finance and budget control initiatives within the S/4HANA project.
  • Identifies and analyzes business process needs to propose solutions based on best practices and aligned with Pomerleau's operations.
  • Analyzes business processes and documents them to optimize operations according to selected indicators.
  • Writes and reviews functional specifications according to standards and best practices.
  • Configures SAP FI/CO modules and other related topics as needed to meet business requirements.
  • Creates test scripts, conducts tests, and records results to confirm system functionality.
  • Provides end-user support for stabilization when new changes are deployed.
  • Participates in the preparation of training documents and the training of key users.
  • Develops a strong relationship with business partners within the company and translates their needs into technical requirements for the competence center.
  • Anticipates issues and risks by implementing associated controls and action plans to secure production deployments.
  • Contributes to operational support under the responsibility of the competence center.
  • Actively monitors processes and activities of production systems.
  • Investigates, analyzes, and resolves issues or incidents related to production systems.
  • Advises and assists users with a focus on improvement and innovation.
  • Translates business, operational, and functional requirements to development teams.
  • Participates in quality control activities of the competence center's processes.
  • Shares knowledge with other team members.

This role could be for you if you have

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, applied sciences, logistics, or related fields.
  • Over 2 years of experience in a functional SAP analyst role for FI-CO modules.
  • Knowledge of other SAP modules or solutions is a significant asset: PS, OpenText VIM, and REFX.
  • Knowledge of other SAP modules or solutions is an asset: MM, SD, PM, HR-HCM.
  • Experience with the S/4HANA platform.
  • Experience in the construction industry (an asset).
  • Ability to analyze a large volume of information and provide a clear and concise synthesis.
  • Knowledge of value chains and key integration points with SAP technology.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, deliverables, and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to the audience.
  • May require occasional travel between Pomerleau offices/sites.
