Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a Fortune 500 service organization to identify a Senior Manager of SEC Reporting. This is a remote position with occasional travel to the corporate headquarters in Boston.

The Role: This high-impact role is responsible for preparing and coordinating the company’s quarterly and annual filings, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal timelines.
The Exposure: This highly visible role will work hand-in-hand with global subject matter experts in the areas of Global Accounting, Global FP&A, Corporate Development, Treasury, Tax, and Procurement.
The Opportunity: Many of the company's top finance professionals started in the SEC Reporting team and have since moved up and around the company. The company is large enough that you can grow and move around but not so large that you are stuck in a niche position with little movement.
The Senior Manager of SEC Reporting’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, Proxy Statements, and XBRL tagging.
Prepare and analyze the company’s global cash flow statement and financial reporting packages.
Participate in the monthly and quarterly close processes, including review and analysis of consolidated results.
Oversee preparation and review of financial statement footnotes and maintain the reporting calendar.
Collaborate with Investor Relations, FP&A, Legal, Tax, and Treasury teams to ensure accurate and timely public disclosures.
Coordinate with external auditors to address audit and review requirements and meet all SEC deadlines.
Support capital markets activity, including future debt and equity offerings.
Assist in preparing quarterly Audit Committee materials.
Conduct technical accounting research to address emerging issues.
Prepare quarterly and annual filings with the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required.
6-8+ years of relevant experience, including public accounting and corporate SEC reporting roles.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and technical accounting guidance.
Experience with external audits and internal controls compliance.
Proficiency with financial reporting systems and tools; experience with Workiva & XBRL highly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
