Vault Cloud is the national leader of providing highly secure and scalable sovereign cloud capability to the Australian Government, National Intelligence Community and Critical Infrastructure sector. We pioneered the development of Australia’s only sovereign, hyperscale cloud with security at its core, being one of the first cloud organisations to be Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) certified and we continue to drive innovation, delivering First of a Kind capability across the sector.
As we continue to lead in technological advancements, Vault is now entering a defining phase of growth with a strategic $22.5 million investment from the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation (NRFC). This investment will scale Vault's SECRET Cloud and introduce new services such as the AUKUS cloud capability, directly addressing Australia's strategic national security demands. Vault is now positioned to not only strengthen its existing relationships with federal and state government agencies, but also strengthen its relationships with private sector businesses requiring secure cloud storage. To support this growth, we are bolstering our capability by adding numerous key roles that are integral to our future success. This is an opportunity to join us at the forefront of a once-in-a-generation technological advancement whilst at the same time securing the nation against ever-increasing threats.
Due to Vault’'s expansion, we are looking for a

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate with:
- General Networking Proficiency: A strong foundation in networking principles is essential. You should have a solid understanding of key networking protocols and be familiar with both the OSI and TCP/IP models. While specific expertise in Cumulus Networks is beneficial, a willingness to learn and receive training in this area is more crucial.
- Linux Networking Skills: Demonstrated experience with Linux-based networking, including the ability to manage and configure network settings within Linux environments, is required.
- Automation and Efficiency: You should be proficient in using automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform. Your skills in automating network and firewall configurations will contribute significantly to enhancing operational efficiency.
- Security Fundamentals: It's important to have strong capabilities in setting up and managing network security. Experience with security solutions like Palo Alto, Fortigate, or open-source firewalls is expected, along with a solid understanding of network security principles.
- Adaptability and Passion for Technology: We value individuals with a keen interest in technology and security. Your adaptability and eagerness to engage with new technologies and challenges are critical, especially in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- OpenStack Networking Knowledge: Practical experience with OpenStack Neutron is seen as a valuable asset but not a prerequisite for this position. An ability to understand its architecture and integration points will be beneficial, but the willingness to learn and adapt is given more weight.
