I'm hiring on behalf of a leading enterprise client in the payments space, currently scaling a high-impact digital wallet product that's already live and being piloted in retail environments.

We’re looking for a QA/Automation Engineer to join one of their agile squads as the sole quality voice – helping drive automation, uplift test coverage, and work closely with a small, high-performing engineering team.

What you’ll be working on:

• Join a tight-knit agile squad (4–5 engineers) as the sole tester
• Take ownership of web automation.
• Uplift and maintain test coverage in an established CI/CD environment
• Drive quality conversations across development, product, and delivery
• Support manual testing where needed while automating for the long-term

The team is seeking someone with web, mobile, and API testing skills who can adapt and continue contributing across squads as the product and platform evolve. Mobile testing (iOS/Android) is a growing need, and all-rounders have a huge opportunity to extend

• 3-5 years’ experience in QA or Quality Engineering roles
• Strong hands-on skills building and using different testing frameworks and automation scripts (e.g. Cypress, Playwright, Jest, Appium, Selenium).
• Good understanding of API testing and CI/CD pipelines
• Comfortable being the “quality voice” within a squad
• Bonus: mobile automation or payments/digital wallet experience

It’s a hybrid Sydney role (2 days/week in office) working under a supportive, hands-on QA manager who invests in continuous learning, AI readiness, and knowledge sharing across their 15+ person QA chapter.
