The Project Manager Is Responsible For The Following
Execute the project through the phases of Development Process per the goals of the business
Organize the cross-functional Project team and follow the Development Process
Define the scaling of the process and design the Project plan in collaboration with the cross-functional team
Manage the project KPIs including schedule, risks, costs, quality, and conduct Phase Gate/ Project reviews in a timely manner
Promote decision making to balance internal/ external requirements and financial targets
Facilitate business case with the project finance member, monitor the project budget
Propose re-baseline the project if environment of the project is changed for the business case, schedule, costs, and prepare documents, review meetings for approval
Lead the project team and assign the project tasks to achieve project budget, schedule, product cost, and quality targets
Monitor the project status and progress and report to leaderships
Facilitate issues resolution to mitigate the risks and to resolve the issues in a timely manner
Escalate issues and request for supports to the appropriate leaderships when necessary
Document outcomes (Standard, Process, Spec, BoM, Costs, Plans) of the project and hand over to the Line function at the end of the project.
Principal Duties
Lead product development project and initiative execution across functions (for example, Product Management, Engineering, Testing, Procurement, Manufacturing, Marketing, Finance, and Sales). Deliver products into mass production and ready for sale.
Drive and track project management metrics for product development excellence and continuous improvement
Manage product development resources at a high-level helping to both shape and staff the overall product development roadmap.
Identify areas requiring change management support and support activities as required
Job Requirements
Deep understanding of cross-functional product development and team management of cross-functional project managers.
Ability to structure work, manage projects, ideate and run processes/tools
Strong logical thinking and problem solving skills
Ability to engage across the company functions, regions, and organization
Strong analytical skills, particularly but not limited to financial literacy
Strong written communication skills – ability to synthesize and communicate executive level messages
Strong oral communication skills – ability to engage senior leadership and working level leaders
Strong executive presence with ability to listen, collaborate, influence leaders across organization
Team player and relationship builder
Business level English. Additional capability in Japanese preferred.

Experience
5+ years of experience in product development project management, HVAC industry is preferred
Operational track record of product development project management excellence especially including management of multi-location, multi-cultural project management teams
Demonstrated experience and success developing project management skills and disciplines with relatively inexperienced team members and organizations
Expert with respect with project management approaches, processes and tools
