Summary

Position Overview

The Mechanical Project Manager will oversee and manage mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, as well as a solid understanding of mechanical systems, commercial practices, and construction project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget for mechanical projects
  • Coordinate and supervise mechanical engineering teams and subcontractors
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines and resource allocation
  • Oversee the estimating process and prepare cost estimates for mechanical systems
  • Manage change orders and ensure proper documentation and approvals are maintained
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications
  • Communicate regularly with clients, stakeholders, and team members to report on progress and address any issues

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in mechanical or construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC and industrial systems
  • Experience with project estimating and managing change orders
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools
