Job Description

Project management for the Mobile Money Upgrade project across OPCO.

Duties & Responsibilities

● Ensuring timely and consistent communication to stakeholders on progress, impacts, and

changes associated with the management of the portfolio

● Participating in program and project reviews to reflect senior-level support, leadership, and

involvement in important matters

● Develop and implement plans to achieve a specific scope that is driven by the objectives of

its program and, ultimately, organizational strategy. It is largely concerned with achieving

specific deliverables that support specific organizational objectives

● Harmonize project and program components, and manage their interdependencies in order

to realize specified benefits. It focuses on achieving the cost, schedule, and performance

objectives of the projects within the program or portfolio

● Ensuring handover (B2O: Build to Operation) is properly done with IT Operations upon

go-live of a project

Key Areas

1. Portfolio & Release Management - Projects

● Managing Transformation Projects and ensuring timely and first-time right delivery of

projects.

● Designing customized and cost-effective solutions for the business using the latest changes

in the market and suggesting the best plan for the business with minimum risks involved and

maximum returns

● Drive project execution; track project activities, monitor and handle changes, conflicts, and

escalations

● Negotiating stakeholder issues and resolving problems at the organizational level

2. Subject Matter Expert

● SME – Application/Solution e.g. Mobile Money, Banking, Analytics

● and GSM – Telco BSS/OSS applications

● Responsible for solution roadmap

● Standardization of solution environment and architecture

● Review the effort estimation

3. PMO

● Develop the PRM high-level end to end-project delivery methodology

● PRM Methodology

● Program & Project

● Portfolio Governance

● Demand Management Tool

● Confluence Tool

● Change Control Board & Approval Control

● Project Request Form

● Publish & track the OLA & SLA

Educational Level

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Telecom Engineering

● PMP and ITIL Certification (asset)

Working Experience

● Minimum 8-10 years experience in the Telco Industry working In Banking/Mobile Money, IN Systems,

Product development, Project management, Software engineering, and Value Added Services
