Job Overview: Technical Project Delivery Manager

The Technical Project Delivery Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the end-to-end delivery of high-value technical projects. This position is responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensuring that technical solutions align with business objectives. In addition to project management, this role involves maintaining strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional services, and ensuring client satisfaction through exceptional service delivery.


The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills to effectively manage and deliver complex projects. They will be adept at navigating challenges, mitigating risks, and driving projects to successful completion within budget and on schedule. This role demands a proactive approach to both project management and account management, ensuring that client needs are met and exceeded.


Key Responsibilities:


Project Planning and Management:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation in coordination with stakeholders.
  • Define project milestones and success criteria.
  • Manage the delivery of technical projects ranging from $50,000 to $500,000.

Execution and Monitoring:

  • Manage day-to-day project activities and ensure project deliverables are on schedule.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
  • Conduct regular status meetings with partners and clients.
  • Partnering with developers and managing sprint processes throughout the development lifecycle.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders and provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Strive to exceed customer expectations by delivering outstanding service and support.
  • Gather and act on client feedback to continuously improve service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered with high quality and meet the defined requirements.
  • Implement and oversee quality control measures.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Account Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all client account management matters.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to grow business with existing clients by understanding their needs and proposing appropriate solutions.
  • Develop and execute strategies to cross-sell and up-sell additional services and solutions.

Timely Delivery:

  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, meeting or exceeding deadlines.
  • Implement strategies to avoid delays and address any time-related issues promptly.
  • Maintain a focus on efficiency and effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.

Financial Management:

  • Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
  • Monitor project financials and ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts for upper management.

Preferred Professional Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager in a technical environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing software development or IT infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in account management and developing client relationships.
  • Knowledge of programming languages, databases, and other technical aspects is advantageous. Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, etc).
