Summary

Sikich is looking for a Project Assistant with 1 to 3 years of experience for our Project Coordinator Group. The Project Assistant is a critical role that works closely with our Project Management team to achieve project goals and objectives. As a point person on a vertical(s) project, the Project Assistant will grow to understand the business and how it is implemented within Oracle, Sikich’s Project Management system, to identify issues and potential improvements. The Project Assistant will help with day-to-day tasks related to the project and billing, ensuring accurate financial results.


An ideal candidate would be communicative, collaborative, problem-solver and has good time management skills. This individual should also be able to adapt in a rapidly evolving cross functional environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned projects within Oracle, Sikich’s Project Management system.
  • Collaborate with service teams to optimize project configurations, identify issues, and recommend improvements.
  • Create and maintain project records in the system.
  • Work with the Contracts Team to configure contracts, process updates, and manage change orders.
  • Oversee project billing, resolve billing issues, and coordinate with the Billing team.
  • Manage resource updates for projects, including transitions due to employee exits.
  • Track and manage issues via a centralized ticketing system.
  • Generate and distribute weekly reports for Project Managers.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with Service Line Leaders to escalate and resolve project-related issues.
  • Monitor revenue recognition, review financial data, and troubleshoot discrepancies.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and propose recommendations to upper management.
  • Support special projects as needed.


Requirements for Successful Candidate

  • 1+ years of experience in Financial Operations, Sales Operations, or Project Management.
  • Experience in a Professional Services environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to changing processes quickly.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with cloud-based software.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Preferred: Experience with Oracle ERP or similar cloud-based project and financial management tools.
