For more information about what an engineer does at Kasa, visit http://www.kasacontrols.com/about/whatwedo.html Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Determine server requirements for database applications Design and configure database architecture as required by project specification Implement database design, including building tables, stored procedures, and queries Configure Windows server operating systems Object Oriented Programming Integration with Industrial Control System (HMI, PLC) Implement the design of an industrial automation system with emphasis on Database/Server programming and integration with PLCs and HMIs. Skills/Qualifications: Strong verbal, written and listening skills Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles and practices Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting databases Competency in Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL Competency in Windows Server 2003 / 2008 Programming familiarity with one or more of the following: C++, C#, Visual Basic, Java Windows Networking (Managed Switches, Routers, Network Topology) Bonus Skills: Experience with industrial networking and HMI integration is a bonus Oracle Experience, any other database technologies not listed above Linux Server Administration Allen Bradley, Siemens PLC programming Industrial HMI Software Familiarity (WinCC Flex, RSView, IA Ignition) Knowledge of NFPA 70 Certifications (Databases, Server, Networking)
