Primary Purpose

Provide local application development and support for district computer systems and software

applications. Design, program, modify and implement applications for the management of

district data and resources. This position will also be responsible for developing and maintaining

programs and reports for data contained in both student and business information systems.

Education/Certification

Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Examples of work and/or completion of skill assessment exercises may be required.

Well-developed conceptual, analytical, and abstract reasoning skills

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in an environment where

interruptions occur often

Ability to work under stress and after normal work hours when necessary

Application development and programming

Must possess in depth knowledge of at least one programming language

Knowledge of cross-platform scripting

Ability to maintain, edit, and troubleshoot existing district applications/scripts written in PHP,

Python and various other open source technologies

Proficiency in database design and management

Ability to use SQL to pull requested information in a timely manner

Ability to create reports using Crystal Reports, SSRS and/or similar software

Experience with Skyward and Munis or similar SMS/ERP software

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers,

clients, customers, and the general public

Linux administration .

Experience

At least two years’ experience in a related field

Minimum two years experience with programming in languages such as: PHP, Perl, Groovy Script, Python,or C#

Minimum Two Years’ Experience With Developing Database-driven Web Applications.

Salary: AP PG 5/ 225 Days
