Job Overview
EODD Area Agency on Aging is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Aging Program Specialist I. This role will provide essential support to the AAA Director in executing the responsibilities and functions of the agency, with a special focus on:
Developing management plans
Monitoring and tracking projects
Conducting surveys and assessments
Identifying and securing funding from diverse sources
Will support other positions by providing information and assistance to consumers by phone, in person, or email.
Requirements
Education: Minimum of an Associate’s Degree
Experience: At least one year of full-time work experience, preferably in planning, social services, human relations, gerontology, or a related field
Background Check: OSBI background check required
Preferred Skills
Experience working in the aging or social services sector
Knowledge of project planning and management
Ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to function with minimal supervision
Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques to effectively engage clients.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on empathy and understanding.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to maintain confidentiality
