Job Summary:
Performs varied confidential clerical and support duties. Serves as the initial point of contact for SAS. Provides support services including but not limited to: answering phone calls, monitoring departmental email, providing information on processes and procedures to students/parents/faculty, scheduling appointments, and maintaining confidential student/departmental records. Represents SAS on boards and councils.
First point of contact with individuals who's emotions may be heightened.

Position Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School/GED
Four years of relevant work experience. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience.
Demonstrated ability to work independently or collaboratively with a team.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
Two years' experience in higher education setting, preferably working with students with disabilities.
Experience in Microsoft Word and various other Microsoft programs.
Familiar with general office procedure, awareness of office procedures, as it relates to records and reports, able to relate to diverse staff and students, basic knowledge/ability with office equipment.
