Body Reporting to the Clinical Managers, the Program Assistant will be responsible for providing
a wide range of confidential clerical support services to clinical Program Managers in Medicine,
Surgery, and Women and Children’s Care Centres. Primary responsibilities will include reporting
Ministry statistics, organizing/coordinating meetings, agenda preparation, taking committee
minutes, document preparation, organizing special projects and events, general office
maintenance, other clerical duties as assigned, and working in collaboration with other staff
throughout the Hospital.
The ideal candidate will be an organized, highly flexible individual who can perform with minimal
supervision, has strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with an ability
to deal with confidential and sensitive issues in a professional manner. The applicant must
have excellent time management skills, the ability to be versatile, adjust quickly in a fast-paced
environment to multiple work patterns as she/he provides support to various program managers
in the Hospital. Post Secondary education in Medical Office Administration with a minimum of
two years related experience is required for this position. High level of computer proficiency
(Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel) and a typing speed of 50 wpm are also required.
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
Criminal Reference Check including the Vulnerable Sector Check recent within six (6) months is a
requirement
