The retail channel is a key strategic focus area for our client and their IT Department. They are building a world-class, innovative retail organization that provides valuable technology leadership and guidance to help them lead the industry in this space.

This is a critical technical role within the AMS • Information Technology Cross-Functional Technology area for Retail. The position is essential to the success of the strategic direction as well as day-to-day operational stability. The technology landscape is complex, involving integration between multiple Retail Applications (POS (X-Store/Xcenter), POS WinSHOP (AS400), and CRM (Relate)). All of these retail applications are tightly integrated with other core systems within ELC, including SAP, HR, vendor partners, and the Legacy Order to Cash system. Most of the integration is handled through the publish-subscribe capabilities of WebMethods, while larger file communications are managed using Informatica.

Because the consumer-facing world is changing rapidly and there is a growing need to meet both consumer and store demands, a technical team capable of delivering swift and flawless solutions is essential. To meet the expectations of consumers and brand stakeholders, the team requires a strong technical professional with solid experience in Oracle, Unix, Linux, and, ideally, Retail applications. The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and to learn quickly is also critical.

The Senior Developer will be a key member of the AMS • Information Technology Cross-Functional Technology team within the IT department and will collaborate closely with both technical and functional teams. Strong communication skills across both domains are important, as is the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical documentation and solutions.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Responsible for delivering and supporting both in-store and back-office solutions in support of POS, consumer data management, and merchandise management systems
• Independently assesses issues and requests, providing optimal solutions in a timely manner
• Aligns with the retail strategy and similar directives to identify, design, and implement key solutions
• Accountable for delivering stable and growth-oriented technology solutions, addressing both new projects and day-to-day bug fixes or requests
• Ensures that all solutions are compliant and compatible within the ELC ecosystem
• Stays current with evolving retail technology trends, offering guidance on emerging tools and platforms that could enhance existing processes
• Understands and adheres to the Enterprise Architecture strategy while contributing to the definition of the Retail roadmap in collaboration with the Strategy & Architecture team
• Maintains awareness of current technologies and trends in the retail and consumer sectors, as well as initiatives from best-in-class retailers and global tech companies
