THE ROLE


The North American Marketing Coordinator is a newly created role due to to our continued global expansion. The role will work closely with the North American Country Marketing Manager in driving MAAP’s marketing efforts and growth in the North American market. This includes the planning and execution of localised marketing activities within the region, with an emphasis on key markets across the territory to assist in meaningfully growing brand love while achieving global business objectives.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Execute North American MAAP Marketing Plan, localizing brand strategy and campaigns.
  • Implement integrated marketing campaigns across channels (wholesale, digital, social, events, partnerships, PR).
  • Support MAAP LaB store awareness and engagement through local initiatives.
  • Assist in managing the North American Ambassador Program and community engagement.
  • Help plan and execute local events to drive customer growth, loyalty, and brand equity.
  • Support the development of locally relevant campaigns and content.
  • Execute marketing initiatives for North American wholesale partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, creative, sales, eComm, support).
  • Assist in managing the local marketing budget and tracking ROI.
  • Help maintain the North American marketing calendar, informing local and global teams.
  • Cultivate relationships with media, influencers, event organizers, and cycling communities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and recommend innovative marketing approaches.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations in all marketing activities.


THE CANDIDATE


The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualities:


  • A passionate cyclist with a demonstrated history of road and/or gravel cycling.
  • Bachelor of Marketing degree, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar marketing role, with a focus on experiential marketing, retail marketing, campaign go-to markets, partnerships or digital marketing, preferably in the cycling or fashion industry.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas and plans clearly and concisely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and the ability to develop engaging marketing content and fresh ideas. Ability to think outside the box and bring new perspectives.
  • Organised and with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships, motivate, and inspire the team around them.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for the cycling industry, including familiarity with cycling products, trends, and customer segments. Additional knowledge of the streetwear and fashion industries is preferred, but not essential.
  • Proficient in marketing techniques and best practices. Including knowledge of relevant marketing tools, platforms, and software.
  • Creative thinker, collaborator and tastemaker.
  • Driver's license, manual driving skills/license required.
