Summary

We're looking for a culturally fluent (aka ex-Assistant!!) Content & Community Manager to help shape the voice, content, and community experience of Assistants vs. Agents.

This person will be responsible for building, managing and posting daily content across platforms (Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube and beyond), turning industry news and cultural moments into AvA posts, and deepening our connection with the young entertainment audience we serve. They will also have access to screenings, red carpets and other events to help us capture content.

This role is perfect for someone who lives inside memes, Hollywood culture, and social media trends.

The role is part-time (~10 hours per week) to start with a path towards full-time. We are growing quickly and expanding in many areas. There is a ton of upward mobility as we continue to grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Write, produce, and post daily content across Instagram, Threads, and TikTok (memes, polls, comment starters, Threads, videos etc.)
  • Manage and grow the community: respond to DMs/comments, spark conversations, drive participation
  • Monitor entertainment/industry news daily for timely and funny content opportunities
  • Plan and execute content calendars, including brand partnership posts and major events (awards shows, festivals etc.).
  • Collaborate with leadership and external partners on campaigns, giveaways, brand activations
  • Track and analyze content performance to optimize future posts
  • Stay sharp on emerging platform trends and cultural conversations
  • Occasional in-person events (AvA events plus premieres, press red carpets and partnership screenings). These are fun I promise

Ideal Background:

  • This isn't a corporate gig (thankfully). While there is no requirement for the amount of years you've had running content for a media, entertainment, or meme-driven account, ideally this person has experience launching social series and helping a brand grow on socials.
  • Deep understanding of internet humor, meme culture, and entertainment industry nuances. Ex-assistant is a huge plus
  • Strong writing skills: short, funny, sharp
  • Fast graphic creation skills (Canva-level minimum, bonus if Adobe, CapCut or I guess Edits? capable)
  • Organized! Able to juggle daily content, longer-lead campaigns, and reactive posts at once
  • Passion for the Entertainment Industry and Hollywood's insider culture

Bonus Points:

  • Prior experience growing a brand account from 0-100K+
  • Light video editing skills (basic TikTok/IG Reel creation).
