Job Description:

We are looking for a Java developer to join our technology innovation group focused on the rapid development of cloud based end-to-end applications.

• Implement, maintain and evolve cloud-based backend products and services using Java
• Integrate with external customer and 3rd-party systems
• Integration of various technologies such as NFC into our applications and services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Perform extensive research and analysis to make optimal architecture and design decisions
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code including supporting documentation
• Interface with other groups including Product Management, QA and Operations
• Implement and maintain database schemas, queries, and optimizations.
• Follow agile development methodologies and best practices.
• Be the technical lead for major parts of the system

WORK EXPERIENCE

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Experience in server development using Spring Framework and Java EE in AWS
• Strong skills in one or more of: Java 8/Tomcat/Java EE, Spring Boot
• At least 2 years hands-on experience with analyzing and addressing application performance bottlenecks
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, Couchbase/MongoDB
• Apache, Nginx, HAProxy
• Expertise in Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Familiarity with build tools such as Ant, Maven, and Gradle
