Summary

As International Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of international pilot projects, managing technical development with external partners, and coordinating internal project content and delivery.

The role involves strong project management, technical expertise, and effective collaboration with internal (both in France and abroad) and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • International Pilot Projects:

- Understand the regulatory challenges related to grid flexibility of the various countries which the company targets to develop.

- Conduct market analyses, assess maturity levels regarding demand response, competitive environments, and analyze risks/barriers to deployment. Develop associated business forecast

- Prepare application to innovation project calls

- Manage and oversee the setup of international pilot projects, including Proof of Concept (POC) and technical implementation

- Liaise with partners to ensure the successful launch and technical performance of pilot sites

- Provide ongoing technical support and address project-related issues throughout the duration of pilot programs


  • Development with Partners:

- Help to establish contacts and find partners to assist Voltalis in starting its operations in these countries.

- Collaborate with partners on the development of new projects, with a focus on building technical relationships and promoting mutual trust and knowledge sharing

- Actively contribute to proposal development and follow up on projects until partnership agreements are signed

- Contribute to international Consortium projects with technology innovation and market analyses. Identify potential business cases, define project requirements, and ensure solutions are aligned with business needs

- Provide technical input regarding project feasibility, background, and development requirements, and assess the scope and size of new business opportunitie


  • Internal Coordination and Project Follow-Up:

- Coordinate with internal teams both in France and abroad to build project specifications, track project planning, and ensure quality of deliveries

- Lead interactions between internal departments, particularly with the teams based in France, ensuring clear and effective communication in both French and English

- Monitor and follow up on the progress of internal development initiatives, ensuring they meet established technical specifications and project objectives.


Must-Have for success :

  • Graduate of a business school or engineering school with a specialization in Energy Economics/ Energy Market Management/ Energy Policies and Markets/ Alternatives for Future Energy.
  • At least 4 years of prior experience in business development within an international environment.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English. Other European languages
  • Autonomy, results orientation, ability to work independently and as part of a team
