Summary

Avanade is looking for Business Development Managers who excel in collaborative, partner-driven sales environments. In this role, you will work closely with Accenture, which leads the client relationship as the account executive, while you specialize in identifying and delivering Microsoft-based solutions. Rather than direct sales, your focus will be on growing Avanade’s business within Accenture’s accounts, supporting their sales efforts, and driving Microsoft opportunities within the Consumer Goods & Retail sector.

You will collaborate daily with Accenture, leveraging their broader offerings while positioning Microsoft technologies to help clients modernize legacy systems, migrate to the cloud, and drive efficiency in financial services. Success requires strong relationship management skills, experience in complex enterprise sales, and the ability to navigate a structured, multi-stakeholder environment.

Skills and experiences

  • Experience in sales within the industry, particularly Consumer Goods & Retail.
  • Strong background in working through partner-driven sales models, ideally with Accenture or similar strategic partnerships.
  • Ability to engage in industry-specific discussions at the C-suite level, aligning solutions to business value.
  • Experience selling across Microsoft solution areas (Apps & Infra, Modern Workplace, Biz Apps, Data & AI) in enterprise-scale consulting engagements.

Fluent in local language

  • Proven ability to navigate complex sales cycles within a structured, multi-stakeholder environment.

  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to build trust and influence across multiple teams.
  • You are structured, detail-oriented, and accustomed to working within large organizations with clear processes.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate closely with Accenture to identify and drive Microsoft-based digital transformation opportunities within the Consumer Goods & Retail sector.
  • Support Accenture’s account executives by providing expertise in Microsoft solutions while they lead the client relationship.
  • Work within an indirect sales model, growing Avanade’s presence and revenue within Accenture’s existing and new clients.
  • Engage with C-suite stakeholders to position cloud migrations, business applications integration, and cost optimization solutions.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, market conditions, and Avanade’s offerings to drive relevant discussions.
  • Report to both Avanade and Accenture to ensure alignment on Microsoft sales growth and execution.
