Adaptability is key as you lead efforts that make a lasting difference for our organization and the communities we serve. Essential Duties Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet the organization’s annual revenue goals. Identify and cultivate major gift prospects, as well as corporate and foundation donors. Plan and execute special events that engage donors and raise funds for the organization. Research and strategically target new corporate relationships that result in new sponsorships and donations as they fit the plan. Lead the development of a comprehensive plan for each appeal, identifying the target audience and conducting data analyses so that financial goals are achieved. Communicate and drive interest in Emergent Health’s background and planned initiatives. Collaborate with the Communications team to develop and execute effective donor communications and marketing materials. Work closely with the Board of Directors and executive leadership to develop fundraising strategies and goals. Monitor and analyze fundraising data to evaluate performance and adjust strategies as needed. Create year-round stewardship plans for returning donors as well as cultivation plans for potential donors. Research, identify, and support grant funding opportunities. Qualifications Qualifications—Minimum five years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, expert-level database management, and at least three years of experience leading initiatives or projects with success. Grant writing experience and/or leading grant projects is essential. Required education and experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Nonprofit Management, Business or Healthcare Administration, or related field required. Preferred education and experience: Certification in Fund Development or equivalent education preferred. Work Environment Works in an office environment, meets with prospective donors, and represents Emergent Health Partners in the community. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 25-40 pounds at times. Ability to travel throughout the EHP service areas as required to network with leadership, operations team members, and donors. Full-time position that primarily works Monday through Friday. Occasional weekends may be required. Up to 35% travel across southern Michigan.
