We are working with a large home healthcare company in Texas to place a full-time Controller.

Position Summary:

The Controller will oversee all financial activities, including planning, reporting, budgeting, and compliance, to ensure the organization’s financial health and sustainability. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in financial management, preferably in healthcare or home health services, and demonstrate leadership skills to guide the finance team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll,and general ledger.
• Manage the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financialstatements.
• Develop and monitor internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance andsafeguard company assets.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes to support the company’s strategicgrowth objectives.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights and decision-making support.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as healthcare-specific regulations.
• Manage external audits and work with auditors to address any findings or recommendations.
• Develop and mentor finance staff to foster professional growth and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Prior experience in the healthcare industry, especially home health or related services, is strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and healthcare-specific financial regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
