Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and cost control. This role involves analyzing project specifications, preparing accurate estimates, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The Estimator will play a crucial role in the bidding process and will be responsible for negotiating contracts and managing costs effectively. Responsibilities Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare detailed estimates for construction projects. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate pricing. Conduct thorough cost analysis, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead expenses. Utilize NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure compliance in electrical estimating. Build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing. Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable terms. Monitor project budgets and provide cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management review regarding estimates and project costs. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and best practices in construction management. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is required. Strong understanding of cost control principles and construction management practices. Familiarity with NEC standards and electrical estimating is preferred. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders. Proficient in project management software and estimating tools. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in pricing and budgeting tasks. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role.
