About The Role

As an Estimator in the Construction industry, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure that projects are completed within budget and on time. Your attention to detail and ability to analyze data will be crucial in this role. You will be expected to provide accurate and timely estimates, and to communicate effectively with all stakeholders involved in the project.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in construction estimating
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software - in particular Agtek and HCSS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with commercial and industrial construction projects
  • Certification as a Professional Estimator (CPE) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of estimates
  • Prepare detailed estimates by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
  • Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates
  • Maintain knowledge of current market conditions and trends in the construction industry

Skills

In this role, you will use your analytical and mathematical skills to accurately estimate the costs of construction projects. You will also need to be proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office.
