What’s The Role All About?
The Document Management Specialist reviews, propose drafts and finalize the contents of PAL and PAL Express Authored and Aircraft DMS Manuals for approval of the Manual Approval Authority, this includes continuous review and evaluation of manuals, formulate and propose manual revisions, incorporation of finalized revisions, publication and tracking of authored manuals, backup and archiving of master files and coordination of manual content among Document Control Officers to ensure that company documented policies and procedures are consistent and in accordance with company DMS standards, human factors principles, OEM technical documentation, ICAO, IATA, and applicable Aviation Authorities’ rules and regulations.
Who Are We Looking For?
• Graduate of any 4 year course (BS Engineering or IT Course is an advantage)
• At least three years working experience in Airline Operations will be an advantage
• Experience in writing of controlled manuals will be an advantage
• Must be tech savvy and knowledgeable in using MS Office applications such as Power Apps and SharePoint
• Exposure and knowledgeable in RP-CAR requirements on Flight Safety Document System will be an advantage
• Strong proficiency in documentation standards, technical writing, process mapping, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate insights effectively across all organizational levels.
Major Responsibility Areas
• Review, draft proposed contents, incorporate and finalize proposed policies and procedures in the PAL/PAL Express authored manuals, including technical manuals in accordance with the Manual Change Request from Document Control Officers and manual owners.
• Standardized PAL/PAL Express authored manuals in accordance with the established Document Management System Standards and in compliance with PCAR Flight Safety Document System requirements.
• Monitor Original Equipment Manufacturer published Master Minimum Equipment List and draft provisions in the aircraft MEL for the approval of the MEL Technical Committee. To incorporate the approved aircraft MEL revision for approval of the Authority.
• Perform continuous review of current authored manuals to ensure that company technical and nontechnical manuals are consistent across the DMS Manual Suite and are in accordance with company DMS standard, human factors principles, OEM technical documentation, ICAO, IATA, and applicable Aviation Authorities’ rules and regulations.
• Monitor, customize and publish required OEM manual such as Aircraft Flight Manuals, Aircraft Flight Crew Operating Manuals, Aircraft Quick Reference Handbooks and Aircraft Configuration Deviation List for use by Flight Operations. Evaluate possible revision and recommend for DMS Interaction of Company Authored Manuals.
