Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our team in Pune. This is an onsite opportunity within the metal and steel industry, where you will play a crucial role in analyzing complex data, optimizing processes, and driving data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate must have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for leveraging data science to improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights to optimize manufacturing and supply chain operations.
• Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to enhance process efficiency, quality control, and production forecasting.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and business units, to drive data-driven decision-making.
• Implement data visualization techniques to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
• Optimize existing data pipelines and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Utilize statistical methods and AI-driven approaches to solve real-world problems in the metal and steel industry.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI to implement innovative solutions.
  
  

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Data Science, preferably in the manufacturing, metal, or steel industry.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• Expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and optimization techniques.
• Strong knowledge of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and algorithm tuning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to work onsite in Pune and engage with stakeholders at different levels.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience in industrial analytics, process automation, or predictive maintenance.
• Knowledge of IoT, real-time data processing, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
