Job Description:

K Systems Solutions (KSS) is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Data & Reporting Analyst to join our team. This role involves supporting consulting projects that could be 100% onsite, hybrid, or remote. The initial project will be 100% onsite in Midtown Manhattan, where you will be working in a transportation control center, focusing on data monitoring, analysis, and reporting for mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on operational and system data within a transportation control center environment.
  • Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports using data from system logs, applications, and monitoring tools.
  • Support data collection, validation, and transformation to ensure accuracy and completeness in reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, operations, IT) to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Work with data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) to present performance trends and system metrics.
  • Document data sources, methodologies, and reporting procedures to maintain consistency and transparency.
  • Participate in consulting projects with varied work arrangements (onsite, hybrid, remote).
  • Assist with data quality assurance and data-driven decision-making across project teams.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in data analysis, reporting, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data monitoring, trend analysis, and visualization.
  • Experience or familiarity with transportation or control systems (such as communications-based train control / CBTC) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel, OneNote, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Working knowledge of reporting or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Flexibility to work on projects in various environments (onsite, hybrid, remote).
  • Knowledge of the train transportation industry is a plus, but not required.

Work Hours:

  • Initial project hours: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Occasional opportunities for additional hours before/after shift and on weekends.
