We help drive a high-performance risk team by ensuring key risk activities are done well. We do this by overseeing the risk governance process and communicating our risk management capabilities internally and externally, including with regulators. We seek to continuously evolve our governance processes, so we are maximizing our risk understanding while minimizing the effort required by our risk and business partners. This newly created role provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team of risk and business leaders to run our risk governance process while challenging the status quo by continuously enhancing and evolving our risk governance program. Internally, this position will interact with various risk and business teams at all management levels within the Guardian enterprise as well as seek to effectively deploy governance tools to increase overall transparency and effectiveness. You will * Help to manage risk governance oversight activities. * Lead risk-related regulatory filing process which includes collaborating with risk owners to capture current state of resiliency. * Conduct risk project oversight. * Help drive forward enhancements to the risk-related regulatory filing process. * Lead risk governance process improvements. * Manage prioritized cross-functional risk reduction projects. You are * A proactive, self-motivated person, able to work independently. * Organized with strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate workstreams. * A trusted partner who can build strong and effective relationships across a wide range of stakeholders * Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple deliverables. * Action-oriented, meticulous, and quality-focused. * An out of the box thinker who can influence and embrace change. * A "lifelong learner" who eager to expand one's risk knowledge You have * Broad / general risk-related knowledge. * Skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. * Great communicator and "Can Do" attitude. * Proven relationship building skills. * The ability to accelerate impact and the desire to lead change. * Ability to effectively convey status, issues, exceptions, and risks to management (oral and written). * Ability to work independently as well as in a team. * Broad / general risk governance and reporting knowledge. * Experience with ServiceNow is a plus. * Relevant risk-related certification(s) is a plus. Reporting Relationships This role reports to the Head of Strategic Risk Management who reports to the Chief Risk Officer Location Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days WFH - Hudson Yards, New York City Salary Range: $101,180.00 - $166,220.00 The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
