What You Bring To SBHG
- Bachelor’s degree in child counseling, development or psychology, or related social science field, or nursing license (LVN, LPT, RN)
- Two (2) years Quality Assurance or Medical Records experience required, with 1 year in a management/supervisory role preferred.
- One (1) year mental health experience preferred.
- Valid CA Driver's License
- Meets agency driver eligibility criteria
- BLS CPR/First Aid
How You Will Make a Difference
The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is responsible for administration of the Quality Assurance Program. Coordinates auditing of documentation and oversees documentation of services by staff to assure conformity with Medi-Cal, County, other outside agencies, and internal standards and policies. Position participates in the preparation for and corrective actions that may be needed for County, State, TJC and other stakeholder certification reviews. Responsibility over the proper training regimen in reference to, but not limited to, chart and Incident documentation, QA requirements and coordinating additional trainings as needed. Position oversees the Continuous Quality Assurance program and maintains all CQI data, including facilitation of the CQI Council meeting and presentation as scheduled by SBHG. Oversees Medical Records forms and Quality Assurance efforts, as well as all audit and audit preparation activity. Participates and aids in the development of improved QA processes/procedures for the facilities. Coordinates with Research, EMR, and Finance departments. Serves as representative on various county QA/QI committees

Division/Program Overview
The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a place where people experiencing a mental health crisis can go to be stabilized. These facilities operate 24/7 to provide crisis stabilization. It can be compared to an Urgent Care Center where people often go for a medical emergency instead of going to the hospital ER.
- Crisis stabilization service
- Up to 16 adults (ages 18 and up) and four adolescents (ages 13 to 17)
- Doctors, nurses, therapists, peer counselors
- 24/7 Outpatient Crisis Program
Patients may stay up to 24 hours. Designed to prevent psychiatric hospitalizations, the CSU will help clients to stabilize and will also provide referrals to other needed services. Transportation is provided as needed.
