As our Controller, you will oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, reporting, and ensuring operational efficiency through sound financial practices. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Manage all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and Counsel.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Oversee cash flow management, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
• Partner with leadership to develop financial strategies aligned with company goals.
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor job costing and project profitability.
• Manage payroll, benefits administration, and HR compliance tasks.
• Prepare for audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Implement new processes and systems to improve financial efficiencies.
• Mentor and supervise accounting team members as the department grows.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in construction, residential development, or a related industry.
• Prior experience in a Controller or senior accounting position is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, and WIP reporting is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Buildertrend, or similar).
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Desire to grow within the company and develop into a CFO role over time.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities.
