Responsibilities
- Interpret and advise on the terms, conditions, and clauses of contracts, ensuring clients understand their obligations and rights.
- Provide proactive guidance on contractual risks and opportunities and the application of contract terms in various scenarios.
- Prepare, review, and issue formal letters, notices, and responses related to the contract, including notices of delay, extension of time, or contractual breaches, both upstream (to employer/owner) and downstream (to subcontractors).
- Ensure that all correspondence is compliant with contractual obligations and sent within the required time frames.
- Provide advisory services in the preparation of delay claims, cost claims, and variations in line with the contractual terms.
- Work with internal teams and represent contractor in dispute resolution processes.
- Advise clients on potential contractual issues, including interpretation of clauses and managing complex contractual matters.
- Assist project teams in ensuring compliance with contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Law, or related field from a recognized international university. Additional certifications in contract management or construction law are advantageous.
- At least 10 years of experience in construction contract administration, with a strong focus on work with contractors.
- In-depth understanding of construction contracts and familiarity with contract law as it pertains to construction projects.
- High proficiency in English is essential. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for preparing notices, letters, and handling complex claims and disputes.
- Experience with delay and cost claims, including the ability to advise on and help prepare such claims.

- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to work effectively with contractors, subcontractors, clients, and legal teams.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring that all contract-related matters are handled in a timely and accurate manner.
Work Environment
- The position is primarily based at the head office, with periodic site visits as necessary to support contractors during project execution and to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Occasional travel to construction sites may be required, depending on project demands and timelines.
