RETS Associates is recruiting for a Construction Project Manager to be based in Newport Beach, CA. Our client is privately held real estate investment trust that is a leading commercial real estate owner, operator, and investment manager with $1.5 billion of AUM that totals 9 million square feet.

The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for managing and executing the development and construction projects overseeing development and construction projects, including new construction, rehabs, and tenant improvements from concept to completion. The role will collaborate with Asset Management and Leasing to define project scope and budgets, manages schedules, contracts, and vendor relationships, and ensures quality, compliance, and timely delivery.

Qualifications:

• 5–7 years in construction project management

• Strong knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles

• High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms and conditions

• Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs

• Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to motivate, make effective business decisions and active problem-solving

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Capable of managing multiple projects independently and adapting to change

• Ability to travel
