Currently we are looking for a Computer Network and Systems Engineer to join our growing team. As a Computer Network and Systems Engineer you will be undertaking the following duties: · Plan, develop, position, test and optimise network and system services and complex system designs and architecture specifications to ensure appropriate level of system availability; · Take responsibility for configuration management and overall operational readiness of network systems, especially environments with multiple operating systems and configurations; · To plan and execute the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of system services and network equipment through defined policies and procedures; · Maintain system services and network performance by regularly monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning, and monitor system and network services, and activity, capacity and usage to ensure continued integrity and optimal performance; · Take responsibility and troubleshoot problems to improve operations for configuration management and overall operational readiness of network and operating systems; · Install, configure, test, maintain and upgrade system services and network by conferring with relevant stakeholders, and develop, test, evaluate and install enhancements; The position will report to the Director. The job will be full time, with hours to be worked between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday. Successful applicants must have: Qualifications: Relevant bachelor’s degree qualification or higher. Experience: 5 years previous experience or more in a similar role in lieu of formal qualification. Skills: · Thorough knowledge and practical experience in key networking and systems concepts (e.g. DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policy) · Virtualisation experience (Hyper-V or VMWare) · SOE development and software deployment methods (e.g. System Center Configuration Manager) · Scripting (e.g. Powershell or VBScript) · Performance Goals: · Complete tasks on time · Deal with clients, stakeholders and other employees professionally at all times · work independently and make necessary decisions throughout the systems process within established guidelines.
