Description

We are looking for an experienced Collections Specialist to join our team in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. As a Collector, you will play a crucial role in managing customer accounts, recovering outstanding debts, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This is a long-term contract position ideal for professionals with strong negotiation skills and a background in financial services or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer accounts with professionalism, ensuring timely recovery of outstanding debts.
• Utilize advanced debt recovery techniques to negotiate payment arrangements effectively.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions and payment agreements.
• Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to less experienced team members as needed.
• Stay updated on federal, state, and company policies related to collections to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to review account statuses and resolve disputes.
• Process payments and manage claims administration efficiently.
• Leverage tools such as Microsoft Word and Power BI to analyze account data and generate reports.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and develop strategies for recovery.
• Communicate with customers via written and verbal channels to resolve account issues.
  
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma is required; additional qualifications are a plus.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
• Proficiency in negotiation techniques and debt recovery processes.
• Ability to work independently while managing time effectively.
• Familiarity with federal and state regulations related to collections.
• Competence in using Microsoft Word and other relevant software, such as Power BI.
